Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Londorossi Gate – Shira Gate – Shira Camp 1
After breakfast, depart for Londorossi Gate to complete park registration, then drive to Shira Gate (2,650m) to start your Mount Kilimanjaro trekking adventure. The Lemosho Route begins through lush rainforest, slowly opening into scenic moorland as you ascend. The trail gently climbs across the Shira Plateau to Shira Camp 1 (3,505m), offering wide mountain views and excellent acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

On arrival, rest well, hydrate, and prepare gear for the midnight summit push. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Barafu Camp, surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Begin your summit push at midnight, climbing steep switchbacks to Stella Point (5,739m) on the crater rim. Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating and taking photos, descend through Barafu to Mweka Camp (3,100m). Enjoy dinner and a well-earned rest.
